Ski holidays are so popular because they offer a chance of a winter wonderland escape at any time of the year. Have you booked yours yet? Here are our top picks.

What makes a good skiing holiday? Is it the powdery snow and selection of runs or is the après ski parties and cheap beer something that you find yourself gravitating towards when booking your winter break away. With lots of factors to consider, we have rounded up some of the most desirable locations to satisfy you on and off-piste.

And nothing beats these top 5 ski holiday destinations…

Aspen, Colorado

Four ski mountains make up Aspen’s world-renowned slopes. Aspen’s beautiful scenery lends itself to year-round use and during the ski season becomes a winter playground. Stay at the five-star St Regis resort with its luxurious amenities, spot-on customer service and close proximity to the slopes.

Moelltal Glacier (Mölltaler Gletscher), Carinthia

With 95 ski trails situated on four main mountain slopes, Mont-Tremblant has routes for everyone between beginner and expert.

Stay in the central hub of Mont-Tremblant at the Fairmont Hotel. Tremblant’s landmark ski-in-ski-out hotel provides the best setting for a perfect alpine getaway

For those who want to retreat further out of the centre of Mont-Tremblant should stay in the Elysium Suites-sur-Lac. A complex of 65 contemporary 1 to 3 bedroom suites, these cosy suites are built in a peaceful setting on the shores of beautiful Lac Supérieur, on the North side of Mont Tremblant and just a six-minute drive from the slopes.

For those who prefer to stay off the ski’s can enjoy a whole host of activities from dog sledging to skidooing.

Mont-Tremblant, Canada

At the Mölltal glacier, you can exercise first-class sunshine skiing until spring. Varied slopes on any difficulty level, extended runs, guaranteed snow and many services, such as the ski rental of INTERSPORT Rent in Flattach make the “Mölli” a unique winter destination in the Southern Alps.

71 kilometres of varied pistes await you at the Mölltal glacier in Carinthia. Until the end of May, you can enjoy pure winter pleasure on the southern Alps. Regardless which holiday destination you decide for, whether Flattach, Mallnitz, Obervellach orRangersdorf – benefit from the ski rental of INTERSPORT Rent and hire the latest skis and snowboards at fair prices.

Samoëns, Grand Massif

Thanks to its geographical location, the Grand Massif enjoys abundant, regular snowfalls throughout the season, and the area is well known for the quality of the snow in spring. 80% of the slopes are north-facing, allowing the snow to lie for longer and remain in good condition. Make the most of the après restaurants situated at the top of the mountain as the main town of Samoëns cannot be reached without taking a ski lift up.

Méribel, Les Allues, France

Commanding breathtaking views and sun-drenched slopes in the afternoons, Meribel is a prime location for outdoor snowsport. Meribel also boasts a modern ski lift system, meaning that queue times are almost non-existent leaving you more time to get as many runs in as possible during the day.

Wherever you decide to go you’ll be equally calmed and left in awe of the great power these locations hold. Be sure to wrap up warm and make the most of your ski holiday.
