The Wimbledon International Music Festival is finally here and what a way to start this beautiful autumnal weekend in Wimbledon. Join us as we celebrate music as the universal language which brings us all together and let us show the world what this great festival in Wimbledon is all about.


Haydn ‘Seven Last Words’

The Brodsky Quartet will be joined by the Tenebrae consort this Saturday 10th November to welcome the start of the Wimbledon Music Festival with their rendition of Haydn’s ‘Seven Last Words’. Originally commissioned in 1787, by Don José Sáenz de Santa María who paid the composer, Joseph Hayden, with a cake filled with gold coins.

Chineke! Ensemble

Founded to champion change and celebrate ethnic diversity in classical music Chineke! Ensemble will be performing at Trinity Church on Sunday 11th November. The ensemble will be showcasing their talents with a rendition of Beethoven’s ‘Septet’ and a Boccherini Sonata.

Six Hands Three Guitars
Known as the ‘giants of the guitar’ this supergroup has sold out everywhere they’ve been and they’ve managed to do it once again. Those fortunate enough to have booked their tickets on time will get to see John Williams, John Etheridge and Gary Ryan perform at St John’s Church.

Mahan Esfahani

For the first time ever the harpsichord will be played at the Wimbledon International Music Festival by  Mahan Esfahani. Revered by critics as, ‘bold and imaginative’, he has pioneered for the introduction of the harpsichord.
