Christmas is truly around the corner for all of us in Wimbledon. It’s nearly impossible to escape the seasonal game and all its wondrous trimmings but for many, the pressure to stay fit, healthy, and happy, whilst indulging in mince pies, endless puddings and glasses of bubbly can all seem too much to handle. Of all the festive health tips here are two great ways we’re about to bring to you this holiday season to ensure you enjoy staying in shape this Christmas.

We all know how intimidating stepping foot into a gym on your own, for the first time, or after a long time, can be. That doesn’t have to mean that you need to entirely dismiss the idea of working out in a focused area, designed to help you achieve the most out of your workouts. Personal trainers and professional instructors, like are very own Gemma Ford, are a fantastic way of sticking to your ambitions. Also, the sooner you start the less pressure you’ll feel about signing up to a gym, just to fit in with everyone else’s New Years Resolutions in January.

If you’re brave enough to weather the slightly chillier days why not take your workout outdoors? Wimbledon Common is as beautiful as it is loved by all who are lucky enough to experience it on a daily basis. Whether you’re going out for a brisk walk, jogging around Queensmere Pond, or taking up a bit of boxing with a personal trainer you’ll get to enjoy those feel-good endorphins as they elevate every cell in your body in the most cherished of settings. You may even spot a filly or two as they trot out from the Wimbledon Village Stables and make their way through town and into the Common to enjoy a leisurely graze.

Whether you’re looking for a personal trainer to get you fighting fit or a yoga instructor to help you let go of all the stress that comes with the festive period you know you’ll be in good hands. Literally. So why not give it a go?

If you happen to have a little extra time on your hands and wish to take your fitness journey to new levels this wintery season by incorporating something new, The Pilates Clinic is a marvellous way to adopt a strategic approach to better health. Book yourself in for a class, if you’d like to try it out, or book in a group class for you and your girls. You can even gift them to someone you know deserves a little love.

Whatever you decide to do this festive season do it for you. For true happiness. So that you may live your best life, in the best shape and health you can experience, and enjoy spending time with those you care about most.
