Save Deen City Farm and Riding School

Save Deen City Farm and Riding School

SW19’s beloved Deen City Farm and riding school has closed due to the unfortunate spread of Covid-19. Since the farm relies on visitors for their income, they are in desperate need of funding for the next few months otherwise they are at risk of permanently shutting down. The animals need your help!

For those of you who have never been, Deen City Farm is a popular place to go to for spending quality time with family in the outdoor natural world. From horse-riding to animal feeding, or simply having lunch at their vibrant cafe, this little spot in SW19 is a Wimbledon favourite.

Approved by the British Horse Society, the riding school at the farm is a friendly environment exceptionally favoured by children, where they can enjoy weekend lessons with a professional instructor. For more information and to book lessons, click here. Please note that due to the Covid-19 outbreak, lessons are currently unavailable, but will hopefully be opening soon.

What’s more, the farm always welcomes volunteers to come along and help out with various activities such as looking after animals, cooking and gardening. For those of you looking for work experience for a career involving animal welfare, Deen City Farm is the perfect place for you.

Join the ‘Save Deen City Farm and Riding School’ cause today, where you can generously donate to help support the animals, staff and farm grounds with the basic needs to survive.

The fundraising appeal has already made a whopping £28,802 through the public’s donations, however it costs around £32,000 per month to cover the farm’s basic living requirements. If we want our beloved farm to re-open, we need donations to keep it running for the next few months until it is safe for the public to start visiting again.

For every £1 given by the local council, an additional £5 needs to cover its running costs. Moreover, £100 will cover food and bedding for animals per day. The farm needs as much support from SW19 folk as possible, so please help us make a difference!

For more information, visit the Deen City Farm website, and click here to join the appeal where you can make your generous donation.
