1 ) Classic White Shirt
A white shirt is probably the number one staple fashion piece. To make your white shirt stand out but still be a classic, look out for stylish detailing rather than colours or prints. This could mean an interesting fastening like pearl buttons, or maybe you prefer a bit of piping around the hem – whatever it is, subtlety is key.

Such a versatile item. A striped shirt can look effortless with a pair of jeans, sophisticated with a pencil skirt or cool with leather trousers. Find one that’s a little smarter than a casual cotton tee and you’ll be able to team it with just about anything.

Ballet flats are chic and comfortable. Dress them up or down, wear day or night, these simple shoes will do the trick.

Tied around your neck or draped over your shoulders, an elegant silk scarf can add a little twist to what would be a plain outfit. You could even tie it onto your handbag.
