‘Tis (almost) the season of giving and what better way to get into the festive spirit than the South West London Christmas Fair in aid of Cancer Research UK. Enjoy that Christmassy feeling whilst helping to beat cancer sooner.
Over the last 20 years the local Cancer Research UK committee, Putney Group of Friends, have raised over £1,250,000 for Cancer Research UK. Following another incredibly successful fair last year, they have set our sights higher than ever for their 2017 Christmas fair, hoping to raise £40,000 for CRUK’s Kids and Teens campaign to help beat cancer sooner.
£40,000 could fund the cost of a trial for a year to find better treatments for children with Neuroblastoma and give more families more tomorrows together.
This year’s fair will be held at the Bank of England Sports Ground on the 8th and 9th of November. With over 70 stalls selling everything from clothes to cheese to candles, the 2017 South West London Christmas Fair is a great opportunity to nab those presents before the festive rush, all whilst helping to beat cancer sooner. 12.5% of all takings are donated to Cancer Research UK as well as a donation from the stall owners for their tables and there is free parking for all attendees.
On Wednesday the 8th of November, the fair will run from 5:00pm-9:00pm, with tickets costing £10 (by application) or £12 on the night, both of which include a complimentary glass of wine.
For Thursday the 9th of November, the fair will run from 9:00am-3:00pm, with tickets costing £5 which can be bought at the door.
We’d love to see you all there. You can get tickets at the door and the address for the fair is:
