Waking up on a Sunday morning to the beautiful aroma of freshly made coffee… #fika #hygge #cuppa #interiors
Where will you have your “fika” today?
A Swedish term for having a cuppa, and for some reason the term “fika” and the danish “hygge” has been whispering around for a while outside of the Scandinavian home countries.
Anyway, regardless of where you are, there’s no better way to enjoy a Sunday than making the coffee break a little extra nice, cuddling up indoors, in beds or at your favourite coffee shop or café.
End of half term needs a little special but simple ending. A takeaway coffee and hot chocolate for the kids out on The Common may be a lovely way to spend the day surrounded by autumn colours and fresh air.
I collect “coffee experience” whereever I go, and I love to see different cups and displays and maybe bring a coffee mug home from a special holiday. In Wimbledon you better get started, as there are so many places to visit for a cuppa, and a lot of inspiration for interior ideas to steal. Look at ways to display art, photographs, how to mix upholstered furniture, old chairs, ceramics… and of course how to display pastry and coffee!
Make your home a special experience as well.
