On International Women’s Day 2019, our founder, Lady Wimbledon was invited to be interviewed by jewellery designer Anna Lou of London about her experience of becoming a successful female entrepreneur, motherhood and how she manages to style out the juggle.
Lady Wimbledon ventured out of her hometown to Tagg’s Island to talk about “her passion and expertise engaging with women on and off-line.” For Anna Lou of London’s IGTV and has been shared on social media – take a look!
Anna Lou: What does your normal day look like?
Lady Wimbledon: I literally do not have a normal day! I kind of know what’s planned for the next day, but I have no idea what’s going to be thrown at me either. This week alone has been insane! I was at Buckingham Palace meeting Prince Charles on Monday night. That was probably the first time I’ve felt nervous. It takes a lot to stir me. Plus the usual kind of coffee meetings with new bloggers, seeing how we can support our community, all the admin stuff. Generally it’s all very exciting. Personally, I try to make time to swim outdoors and touch of Pilates and really my whole world revolves around my three beautiful young children.
AL: You have this wonderful team around you, but you’re the driving force of that…
LW: I do have a wonderful team and I don’t think anyone can do it without the good team. And they’re mostly women! I think only women truly know what women want.
AL: How does London affect your style?
LW: Every day is a special day, and every day a woman should wear their finest clothes.
AL: And jewellery, obviously!
LW: Obviously! There is nothing more exciting than having a dressing table filled with all things that sparkle to choose from. Every girls dream.
