For the full experience of Kingston upon Thames, explore by boat and visit one of the many riverside restaurants. Content Editor, Verónica Lopes shares her guide…
Take A Boat Along The Thames
This summer, have fun exploring Kingston upon Thames by being the captain of your own boat! GoBoat is the fun, self-drive boating experience. From their location in Kingston, GoBoats have access to a stunning non-tidal section of London’s River Thames. No boating experience is necessary as training will be given upon arrival and you’ll be given a route map to help you navigate your way. Their friendly crew will meet you by the kiosk to give you your boating instructions and provide life jackets for babies or buoyancy aids for children. Each boat holds up to 8 people including children and dogs are welcome aboard too. They are currently accepting either two households per boat with a maximum capacity of eight people, or four individuals from different households per boat, although a one-metre distance policy needs to be followed while on board.
