The Wimbledon International Music Festival is back this year from 12 to 27 November 2016, bringing you the best musicians and composers from around the globe.

Audiences in Wimbledon and South West London will be able to watch legendary artists, such as Dame Evelyn Glennie – the world’s premier solo percussionist, the multi-national Sitkovetsky Piano Trio, the Škampa QuartetAfrican Sanctus and many more.

The major theme this year is ‘Music inspired by Folk Sources’ There will be folk songs, melodies, stories, poems, and rituals, with influences from across the globe: Africa, Hungary, Russia, Australia, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, America, and Great Britain.

The music festival was founded in 2009, and ever since their aim has been to inspire audiences young and old, who will be able to listen to world-class acts perform live in venues close to their doorsteps.
