Waffles are a fantastic treat and Wimbledon is lucky enough to have a brilliant number of places offering waffles ranging from healthy to a little bit naughty. This week I went on waffling tour of Wimbledon and picked my top three favourite restaurants.

Wafflemeister

On Wimbledon Broadway there is the new and super delicious Wafflemeister restaurant and the perfect place to indulge in a waffle and catch up with friends or have as a treat one afternoon! Their waffle menu is huge and comes in a range of toppings from simple fruit and ice cream, to muesli, banana and honey, and even the extravagant marshmallow surprise.

Flavous

The ice cream parlour a stones throw from Wimbledon Theatre is the place to indulge in sweet (not always unhealthy) treats. Their huge range of ice creams is spectacle enough but they also make delicious waffles and their range of toppings can be tailor made to exactly what you like. Pick your favourite ice cream, fruit and enjoy the exact waffle you want.

Belgian Brasserie

belgian brasserie

In the historic Merton Abbey Mills is a brilliant range of eateries and bars including the Belgian Brasserie which is well known by locals for its incredible crepes and waffles. My favourite of their toppings being berries and melted chocolate. They even have a range of alcoholic topping options including Bailey’s ice cream and limoncello with mascarpone to make the waffle experience even better and much more of a treat.
