We’re known for our town meets country reputation in Wimbledon. With that comes green spaces, friendly faces and foodie places. We know for sure you’ll have a feel-good day with us! Here’s a snapshot of what you can get up to…
The day starts with breakfast. We do that so well in our popular artisan cafes and established restaurants. Try Brew Cafe, CAU, PAUL Bakery, The Fire Stables or GAIL’s.
Make time for yourself. Perhaps a mani pedi or blow dry at a salon? Try Rush, Gina Conway, SHOW Dry, The Hand & Foot Spa or Andy’s Salon.
The dog:human ratio is close to equal in Wimbledon! Dog owners can walk on the common, dog lovers – we welcome petting. Horsey people – we’ve got you sorted. You can go for a hack on the common on a horse from Wimbledon Stables.
Treat yourself to a little retail therapy. We’ve two high streets in SW19, The Broadway and Wimbledon Village High Street, as well as Centre Court Shopping Centre and Elys department store. So that’s your shopping needs covered, fancy a drink?
Dust off your Hunters and Barbours; our country pubs on the edge of the common invite you in. Expect quirky interiors, tennis references, local ales and open fires. Ahhhh. Try The Crooked Billet, Hand in Hand, The Fox & Grapes or The Dog & Fox.
Heading home feeling revived and relaxed? Pick up some organic, seasonal vegetables from Bayley & Sage deli for your supper.
Conveniently, florists are dotted on your route back to Wimbledon station. Go home with a pretty hand tied bunch to remind you of your feel-good day in Wimbledon. Try Gardenia or The Flowersmith.
You guys living before Zone 3 – we’re not as far from the city as you think!
