Ultimate Relaxation At Gazelli House

Ultimate Relaxation At Gazelli House

Gazelli House is a little gem that can be found in the heart of South Kensington’s Walton Street. I first visited when I was invited for a pre-fashion week relaxation day with fellow blogger Charlotte Loves.

It was a lovely morning, which included a guided meditation in their garden (yes there is a garden in the middle of London), plus healthy snacks and shopping from BespokeYour World.

We also received a hand massage in the beautiful treatment rooms using the Gazelli products. I fell in love with the treatment rooms the second I saw them, they are different from any I have ever seen before, with beautiful hand painted tiles all the way from Italy.

The treatment I received was lovely, and as Alexandra the therapist was telling me about the treatments on offer, I knew I would be back for more!

At Gazelli each treatment is approached with the underlying philosophy that the emotional and physical self are intertwined and connected on multiple levels. I loved what the founder says about Gazelli House “We believe that the happiest people are those who have a healthy balance between their emotional and physical being; at Gazelli House tapping into this connection is at the root of everything we do.”

I totally agree with this statement and think it is something very important to focus on in our super busy lives. Unfortunately sometimes our lives do get busy, and when like me you are freelance, it can be harder to find the balance.

I did manage to take time out of one of my busiest weeks of the year – the week between London and Paris fashion week – and my goodness I am so pleased I did. London Fashion Week finished on the Tuesday and I had 5 days of crazy work and very little sleep. I then had 6 days to recover before Paris Fashion Week plus fitting in my regular clients and a couple of photoshoots. To say I was stressed on Wednesday is a massive understatement!

I turned up at Gazelli House totally exhausted and with very sore back and shoulders. I was booked in for the Bespoke Body Treatment, which asseses your body’s musculoskeletal structure to target tensions that are stored in your muscles (mine were all in my shoulders from leaning over at work). The treatment incorporates acupressure, which releases trigger points to release tension with gentle muscle stretching and improves your flexibility and posture.

Each treatment is tailored to you to give you exactly what you need; the highly skilled therapist will give you an initial consultation to discover what you need. Alexandra was my therapist and she was so kind and caring I felt really special and she just knew exactly what I needed.

You will relieve 1 or 2 from the prescribed elements in your treatment, these are Abdominal Massage, Infra- Red Therapy, Sonic Therapy and Paraffin Wax. I had the Infra-Red Therapy which is a deep intensive warm light that penetrates to the depth of about 30-40mm and will repair muscle injury, pain, joint aches and sprains. It works to dramatically increase circulation to painful areas, reducing inflammation and promotes healing. I have an on going lower back problem which Alexandra picked up on straight away and this really helped.

The first thing I noticed and loved was the smell of the oils, they instantly helped me relax and very soon I was drifting off into my own little world. The treatment started with deep breathing exercises, it is amazing how just a few deep inhalations and exhalations can make such a different to how you are feeling!

The whole treatment was just divine, it was the perfect balance between being a relaxation treatment and a treatment that you know is doing you the world of good. I felt like I had left the business of my life and London and taken a mini break for a few hours. Alexandra was amazing, checking how I was throughout and if I was getting what I needed. I felt totally relaxed, the bed was perfect, the room was perfect it was just perfect!

I did not want the treatment to end, but on the plus when it did end I was taken upstairs and encouraged to sit down and chill in their comfy seated area. I was so zoned out at this point, there is no way I would have wanted to jump straight onto the tube so this was perfect for me. I was given a selection of herbal teas, all with their unique properties in how they are going to benefit you.

I chose the Awakening Infusion, as otherwise I was worried I would fall asleep on their couch. The tea came with a side of dried fruit, the perfect little sugary pick me up to help you come back to reality. I drank my tea in the utmost bliss, and when I had started to wake up I stayed and chilled on their sofas to catch up on my emails etc.

Gazelli House is such a lovely space and has an amazing feel to it, you are really made to feel welcome and they want you to stay and make yourself at home… “Gazelli House is here to support you on your journey to becoming your happiest most authentic self. Whether your focus is solely physical, emotional or social, you are welcome any time. It’s not just our home, it’s yours.”

I will definitely be back to take some time out and chill and use their space to write my blogs. I am also looking forward to trying their Bespoke Facial next time I visit. When visiting don’t forget to check out their unique products, I have been totally addicted to their facial mist since getting it a couple of weeks ago!

Follow Gazelli House on Instagram or check out their website as there are often workshops and seminars taking place.
