What do you get when Lady W, Darling Magazine and NC Supper Clubs get together with a beautiful starlit JF marquee? The ultimate Christmas party and birthday bash.
There can only be one way to celebrate Lady Wimbledon’s birthday and the festive season, and that’s with the biggest party of the year yet.
Bringing together Wimbledon’s finest including the Mayor of Merton, Eyes of Lady W bloggers, Darling Magazine editors Karine Torr and Marja-Leena, and Wimbledon Brewery, with celeb guests such as Big Brother winner Jason Burrill and music artists Malory Torr, So Solid’s Twin MCs, Lord TCO and Wordz, this party was the place to be – even if it was only a Wednesday night.
With a beautiful marquee that seamlessly became an extension out from the venue, guests were able to dance the night away as well as chill out on the sofas inside the marquee under romantic chandelier and starlit roof lighting.
The venue was decked out in festive decor with Christmas wreath and floral arrangements by Brian Kirkby and light up trees by Room Remedies.
Once again, the brilliant catering team of NC Supper Clubs put together a stunning menu for the crowd to enjoy. The collaboration between chefs Anjula Devi and Elizabeth Brown of Coco Labelle was flawless.
On the menu were divine pineapple chilli and pomegranate jewel tarts and refreshing salmon and mango cucumber wheel canapés to kick start the evening. These were followed by an array of mains including tender slow cooked lamb, ginger and garlic okra and aromatic coconut fish curry.
To drink there was a selection of wine including bespoke bottles by Hannibal Brown and a winter punch recipe by The Pod Bar. And of course, no event is complete without the much coveted Wimbledon Brewery beer. To keep everyone refreshed and energised there was a fine selection of flavoured coconut water by Jeeva, including mint and lime, ginger and lemongrass and turmeric varieties.
Magic Man London lived up to his reputation of fascinating guests and entertaining with upbeat energy and huge sense of fun.
Malory Torr kept up the festive cheer with her soulful renditions of classic Christmas songs before Lord TCO and Wordz provided the final performances of the night with tracks from their latest albums.
Oh what a night…
