The trend for raw cakes is a growing one. So what exactly are they and is it for you?

What is a raw cake?

Often described as “conscious desserts”, raw cakes are free from wheat, gluten, egg, dairy, soy and refined sugar.

Why choose raw cakes?

Raw cakes make a great alternative for vegans or people with a gluten or dairy-free diet. They’re also packed with superfoods are made from natural and responsibly sourced ingredients.

If you would like to learn more about raw cakes, join a workshop for beginners by Ripe and Nine – a raw cake company founded in 2016 that creates delicious, handmade treats from a kitchen in Surrey.

Their insightful class will give you a full introduction to raw baking, including all of the essential ingredients and equipment. You’ll learn four exclusive recipes and will come away with all the evening’s bakes to share with your family and friends.

The next workshop is on Wednesday 7th March at the Ripe and Nine HQ in Epsom, Surrey.
