This Sunday is Father’s Day and I’ve got my top places to treat dad for a delicious dish or two.

Breakfast choice

If you’re up and want to start the day with a delicious meal then why not try a Bloody Mary and a gorgeous breakfast at Wimbledon’s newest restaurant – 601 Queens Road. Their super all day breakfast menu offers traditional favourites including Eggs Benedict but also offers interesting new dishes to explore for breakfast including Toasted Banana Bread (with caramelised banana, maple syrup and coconut yoghurt) and Triple Cheese, Truffle and Avocado Toastie (with taleggio, ricotta and cheddar). Delicious food in a stunning environment with views over Wimbledon. Definitely a great choice for Father’s Day.

The perfect Sunday lunch

Take your dad out for a beer and a great roast dinner or anything delicious from the menu at the Hand in Hand this Sunday lunch time. Serving up great craft beers and of course the super Wimbledon Brewery Beer the lunch will start very well and have one happy dad. I’d recommend their sharing pies, exceptional family dining. The Wiltshire Lamb Shoulder Shepherd’s Pie is served with honey and ale glazed carrots, parsnips and spring greens. A great way to celebrate your dad on Sunday. Perfectly positioned for a walk around the common and then a well deserved meal, and of course dogs are welcome to this friendly pub.

Dinner steak for dad

Roxie Steak the latest addition to Wimbledon’s meat loving scene offers a great choice of steaks perfect for the local carnivores. As well as a super delicious range of succulent cuts why not try their special Roxie Butcher Feast. You will get either a flat iron, rump or picanha steak with fries, beef dipping jus, a homemade sauce of your choice and a glass of Malbec or Prosecco for £20. A great deal for such a delicious dinner.

Your family are superheroes

The Old Frizzle this Sunday are offering a free superhero photoshoot when you dine with them between 1pm – 4pm. Enjoy a lovely meal in their restaurant and then join their photographer with a host of backdrops and props for a super photoshoot. The photos will be delivered to you by email after Father’s Day. Their three course Sunday meal for £24 is a bargain and their roast dinners are definitely a great way to spend Sunday relaxing and eating with the family.
