Five members of the Oomph! Head Office team in Wimbledon are taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Friday 13th July, to raise over £1500 for the Care Workers Charity and help support care workers in their time of need.

The Care Workers Charity is dedicated to helping current, former and retired care workers, with help offered in the form of hardship grants, and online information and advice.

Oomph! Wellness is an organisation that relies on the engagement, hard work and dedication of those working in care settings. Through the training and support services they provide to care homes, sheltered housing, retirement villages and day care, they’ve seen the tireless determination of care workers across the country in ensuring that residents have the best possible quality of life. It’s a tough job, often with little recognition or reward.

The 24 mile hike will see them reach the three highest points in Yorkshire, Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with the route covering 1585 meters of ascent. These peaks form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble. This will undoubtedly be a tough, but rewarding challenge.

Let’s support them on their journey, and sponsor by donating to the Care Workers Charity through their Just Giving page.
