Make the most of your time off this weekend to take a stroll around Wimbledon and surrounding SW19 areas. There’s plenty for you to soak up whilst getting out of the house and taking in that crisp autumn air.

Wimbledon Bookfest

The Big Tent will only be up in the Common for another four days before we see it again next year. The Lady Wimbledon team have already got their fix for this year with Cathy Newman’s interview about her new book Bloody Brilliant Women but there’s a fantastic variety of talks to book. Our local Wimbledon Brewery will also be on hand to quench your thirst whilst queing up.

Second Sunday 5 Miles

Hosted by Thames Hare & Hounds the Second Sunday 5 Mile race is the perfect way to kick-start any Sunday in autumn. The race will start at the Thames Hare & Hound HQ at the Richardson Evans Memorial Fields and over the Common with the promise of a hearty breakfast for runners.

Hannibal Brown & The Jigsaw Player’s Wine Pairing Event

Following on from their enormously successful food and wine pairing events, wine merchant Hannibal Brown are back again with the introduction of music to accompany/complement a selection of their artisan wines.  Partnering with professional classical musicians The Jigsaw Players, who will be playing some of the most popular classical pieces. There will of course be plenty of delicious canapés to pull the whole event together.
