Lady Wimbledon Networking Event

Lady Wimbledon Networking Event

Posted by Eyes of Lady Wimbledon | 28 February 2019 | Community Spirit, Magazine, What's On

We can’t believe how the sun shone on Wimbledon for Darlings 10th Birthday. We dashed to Partica in Centre Court Shops for an array of balloons to decorate The Dog & Fox, where the party was to be held.

Arriving the same time as the Wimbledon Village Stable horses, all but one were frightened of the pink, yellow and green balloons.

In a blink of an eye guests started to arrive in droves. Welcomed with a Dog & Fox designed Darling cocktail made with Dissaronno, lime, egg and sugar.

Local businesses and friends got together at The Dog & Fox, the heart of Wimbledon Village, to raise a glass to Merton’s much loved Editor: Karine Torr.

Darling Magazine is a stylish magazine for women. Printed quarterly, content is to inspire their loyal readership in Wimbledon, Richmond, Kingston, North Surrey.

A dozen Darling Magazine cover girls together with their covers and Karine.

Over 150 guests mixing business with pleasure in the event space at Dog & Fox. The Mayor of Merton was in attendance, too.

G&T’s were served throughout the night by sponsor Martin Miller’s Gin.

Pops of colour added vibrancy to the space and photography. Clusters of hot pink, sunshine yellow and fresh green helium balloons, with a giant ‘10’ from Partica added to the party spirit.

All guests sang a well deserved Happy Birthday Darling Magazine, and a two layered, absolutely delicious white chocolate and raspberry cake with colourful balloons was served to our guests.

Dress code was snazzy, guests channelled this with spring florals, animal prints, statement lipstick. Lady Wimbledon wore a bespoke fedora hat with boho-style feathers, designed and handmade by quintessential English milliner Helene Berman London.

Singer/songwriter Aaron Norton performed. His husky, Paolo Nutini style, matched the laid-back networking event.

Lady Wimbledon Event’s are known for their elements of surprise! At this event, we invited tarot card reader, Sophie Lutz, to delve into guests most important questions about love, relationships and more.

The best kind of brownies – squidgy, chocolatey, delicious – were given to the party by Chinello from Good Cake Day.

Our Registered Nutritionist blogger, Alex Gear, gave the healthy minded guests tasty, nutritious canapés.

A Darling Magazine frame gave all the guests the chance to snap themselves in the cover. This was designed by Ambience Events.

A true friendship, Lady Wimbledon gave Karine Torr a big bunch of flowers from Wimbledon florist, Brian Kirkby, to congratulate her on 10 very successful years of Darling.
