Morley Park Official Opening
Merton has a brand new public park! Morley Park is located in West Wimbledon, between Copse Hill and Cottenham Park Road. The Mayor of Merton will be officially opening it to the public on May 4th with a ‘picnic in the park’. All invited to come along and welcome a wonderful new green space for Wimbledon.

Morden Park Country May Fair
No need to escape to the country this weekend – it’s coming to you! Taking over Morden Park this bank holiday weekend will be this iconic traditional Country Fair. Back with us for its 10th year but the first in its new home – you’ll find arts, crafts, food and drink, birds of prey, a sheep show, a jester to entertain the children, petting pens, historical re-enactments, steam engines, Morris dancers, brass bands and much more.
There’s even a family dog show on the Monday, which your very own four legged companions are invited to!

In the Willows
We can’t wait for this one! An exciting, fresh take on an old classic, ‘In the Willows’ is an explosive new British musical, with soaring vocals and spectacular street dance.
Mole’s first day in ‘The Willows’. Her classmates look a bit scary. Surely Mr Badger will look out for her, as streetwise Rattie, rich kid Toad and cheeky Otter teach her the ways of The Riverbank. But when Toad gets locked up for joyriding, the Weasel Clan break into his (lily)pad. It’s now only a matter of time before Chief Weasel reveals Mole’s dark secret…
Promising ballads, beats, and backflips, this is one for the whole family to enjoy together.

Wimbledon Art Fair

Bach to Baby Family Concert – Victorian Vox Pop
This spring, Bach to Baby are celebrating the 200th birthday of Queen Victoria in style. Pianist Alan Gout and soprano Sarah Parkin, will channel the voice of the people; singing Her Majesty’s favourite Mendelssohn melodies, Bellini ballads, and Gilbert & Sullivan songs! Bach to Baby’s critically acclaimed concerts allow the whole family to enjoy classical music together and up close; Mini Wombles are encouraged to dance and roam about and adults are able to listen to the performance and have a much needed cup of coffee at the same time.
When: Saturday 18th May, 11.00am. Doors open at 10.30am. Concert lasts for about an hour.

Rutsfest
A fun day for all the family with a real community feel at the popular Old Rutlishians’ Rugby Club in Merton Park. Live music from 14 local bands on 2 stages, all day BBQ and bar, bouncy castles, face painting, activities and stalls to keep the kids entertained.
Always a fantastic way to celebrate the bank holiday weekend with friends and family in a perfectly relaxed environment.

Morden Park House Summer Cinema
For our second bank holiday Monday, Morden Park House Summer Cinema brings you a singalong spectacular, showcasing a selection of films to sing your heart out to! The courtyard of Morden Park House will be transformed to a pop up outdoor cinema complete with licensed bar and classic cinema food.
When: Monday 27th May, 12 Noon Moana, 2.30pm Trolls, 4.30pm The Greatest Showman and 7.30pm Mamma Mia.
