The night before All Hallow’s Eve, 150 guests joined Lady Wimbledon for her wicked annual Halloween Party – this year hosted at our iconic local inn, The Dog & Fox. Read on to find out what you missed, or to find yourself among our party pictures…

Set in the heart of Wimbledon Village, the party promised thrills galore, and it didn’t disappoint: the venue was packed with supernaturally well-dressed guests, spine-chilling entertainment and plenty of surprises.

As ghosts, ghouls and skeletons gathered for the party, @bezerkazcircus act Laura Loops set the night alight, performing red-hot fire-dancing tricks outside The Dog & Fox.

Floating into the venue like a scene from a horror movie, guests were served devilish drinks: a fiery but refreshing spin on the Bloody Mary, blending Sipsmith gin with Bloody Bens‘ secret spice mix for tomato juice. The Dog & Fox had also concocted a special Halloween cocktail, as well as a menu of ‘Trick or Treat’ shots for the bar, slaking the thirst of Wimbledon’s terrific tribe of witches and warlocks. Lady W ensured MC Kie and his crew had Wimbledon Brewery beers.

The dining hall in The Dog & Fox was magically transformed into a Haunted House with the help of frighteningly good decorations from Partica, setting the stage for garage legend MC Kie and his entourage to play a deep and dirty live DJ set as the night gathered pace.

Everyone got into the spirit of things with a helping hand from HBeauty and their intricate henna designs, and Studio Glo, whose artists painted Halloween designs onto nails and adorned guests’ faces with dazzling face gems and glitter designs that sparkled spookily in the spotlights.

There were plenty more treats and tricks in store: master of illusion Diobo freaked out guests with his bewitching up-close magic – jaws dropped and minds span as he performed impossible sleight-of-hand showstoppers in front of their eyes. Music played and the dancefloor filled, while Laura Loops span hypnotic glowing rings and towered above revellers as she paraded around the venue on stilts.

From dark demons to blood-splattered terrors, guests truly turned heads with their spellbinding Halloween outfits. It was a tough job choosing the winners of Best-Dressed Guests, but after much deliberation, Lady Wimbledon awarded a bottle of Sipsmith gin to Becca Burt, dressed in an incredible lace body suit with skull face paint, and Kevin Jackson, whose Dracula incarnation featured a heavily embroidered suit and glitter face art.

Evil-doing and killer dance moves certainly work up an appetite: so for those who got peckish, Zay’s Bakes crafted some enchanting cakes perfect for sinking teeth into. Delicious vanilla sponge was filled with blood red jam and topped with divine icing. Simply to die for!

The evening was a total thrill, and the totally terrifying invasion of supernatural greatness at the Dog & Fox will be haunting our dreams for days to come! Huge thanks to everyone who came – we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. And if you missed out, make sure you sign up for Lady W updates to be first to hear about our next big event.
