From amazing fireworks displays to spectacular shows, we have rounded up the best kids activities in and around Wimbledon this November…

Wimbledon Fireworks Displays

Merton’s ever popular fireworks shows are back with two spectacular musical shows at both Morden Park and Wimbledon Park! The kids will love The Greatest Showman theme at the earlier show.  There will also be a funfair, fire and light show performers Flame Oz and Halo, a street food village, drinks and more.

  • 5.15pm – Gates and funfair open
  • 6.30pm – Fire and light acts – Flame Oz and Halo
  • 6.45pm – 1st fireworks show – The Greatest Showman
  • 8.15pm –  Fire and light acts – Flame Oz and Halo
  • 8.30pm – 2nd fireworks show – ‘Outer Space’
  • 10.00pm – Funfair closes

When: 2 and 5 November

Wandsworth Council’s Battersea Park Fireworks

Battersea Park’s annual Fireworks display looks set to be bigger and better than ever! One of London’s most iconic parks welcomes 50,000 people to the City’s biggest fireworks display, with award-winning pyro-technicians Jubilee Fireworks creating a truly magical show.

Gates open at 6pm with the pre-show entertainment starting at 7pm.

Important: take cash as there are no card facilities onsite. No entry after 8pm.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical

Visit the New Wimbledon Theatre this November to experience the magic of Dr. Seuss’ classic story How The Grinch Stole Christmas! Featuring magnificent set and costume designs, there’s no better way to get into the mood for the festive season.

The Chase Market – Kids Activities

This new Wimbledon market has a whole host of kids activities for November from our favourite children’s entertainers. Keep the kids happy while you discover all that the market has to offer, from fresh produce, tasty hot food, drinks and fine wines, to a great range of arts and crafts stalls.

3 and 10 November – Join Andytastic from the brilliant Dantastic Productions for lots of fun, magic, games, bubbles and balloons!

17 November – Award-winning storyteller Anna-Christina will be bringing her unique mix of listening, learning, drawing, and drama to the market.

17 November – Learn how to use oil pastels in this fun and interactive art workshop with Abha at Hues.

24 November – The Polka Theatre will be presenting their exciting pop-up workshop of ‘The Paper Dolls’ by Julia Donaldson, including a storytelling session followed by learning how to make your own paper doll puppet!

Wimbledon International Music Festival 2019

The Wimbledon International Music Festival, now in its 11th year, is back this November, and it’s better than ever.

The 2019 edition offers a stunning array of wonderful performances, from classical concerts and intimate recitals to jazz nights and masterclasses – all featuring notable musicians from around the world. Immerse the children into the world of music with this unmissable local event – look out for specific family-friendly concerts for the younger ones.

Annie The Musical

Direct from the West End, Annie is touring the UK with 6 dates at The New Wimbledon Theatre, starring Birds of a Feather’s Lesley Joseph as the tyrannical Miss Hannigan.

With its award-winning book and score, including the much-loved songs It’s The Hard-Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be an unforgettable show!
