Is your skin looking ready for the Christmas party season? Our Beauty Blogger Arif has 3 top tips for party ready glowing skin…

SUNDAY RILEY C.E.O. C + E Micro-Dissolve Cleansing Oil, £35.00

1. Cleansing is Everything

Believe it or not, cleansing is vital for healthy skin. If the skin is left with any impurities or makeup it will stop your potions and lotions from absorbing, thus not giving you all the benefits from you regime. Similarly, as with absorption, the skin can become loaded with oils and bacteria that can in tern block pores and thus led to break outs. As with all things in life change is important, if your skin is feeling drier than normal opt for a oil based cleanser that will nourish while removing stubborn makeup. I recommend SUNDAY RILEY C.E.O. C + E Micro-Dissolve Cleansing Oil, £35.00.

Bobbi Brown LIP COLOR Creamy, semi-matte lipstick in Orange, £24.50

2. Burnt orange?

Most of us would shy away from burnt orange or copper colours. But for autumn it’s a sure look that guaranties that you won’t look washed out or out of place with a seasonal pallet.

A deep orange shade can work wonders on framing the lip line and adding much needed colour to dull complexion. For an extra tip dot a little on your ring finger, warm it up by gently rubbing in between your thumb. Simply and delicately, apply to the apples of the cheeks to give a subtle hint of colour that will unify the colour distribution on the face – an old make up artist trick! Try Bobbi Brown LIP COLOR Creamy, semi-matte lipstick in Orange, £24.50.

Darphin Rose Aromatic Care, £42.00

3. Oils!

As seasons change so does the ability of the skin to keep up with the impact the weather has on its self. The skin, just like our bodies, needs nourishment, in this situation oils are your best friend.

Don’t be fooled, even if you have oily skin, you may be lacking in a certain oil that will actually help reorder the skin, moreover, the silky and decadent formula of certain oils is like food for the skin. Look for oils that contain quantities of vitamin E and C with added Omegas – E for nourishing and C for brightening. A good oil to reach for would be Carrot, or a good Marula oil. Apply a few drops to the skin on its own or after a cream. I like Darphin Rose Aromatic Care, £42.00.

However every skin is not the same and the same products do not work for everyone.

If you are finding it hard to get your skin or make up right, book in a consultation to get you on the right track.
