1. Megan’s – For late risers and those with a canine friend

With a Mediterranean influenced menu – Megan’s is a beautifully decorated neighbourhood restaurant perfect for breakfast lovers with their all day brunch menu. The restaurant is idyllic for those with pups as all well-behaved dogs are welcome with dog bowls and treats available. Megan’s offers plenty of menu selection; with a traditional English Breakfast style ‘Megan’s Brunch’ including eggs, sausage, bacon, garlic mushrooms, shakshouka and sourdough but also with an alternate ‘Veggie Brunch’ option for those who prefer the likes of halloumi, avocado and spinach. Have a particularly sweet tooth? Try Megan’s incredible ‘Vegan Pancakes’, layered with bananas and topped with Chia yoghurt, blueberry compote, maple syrup and pistachios.

2. Babylon – For those seeking high quality traditional breakfast options

Babylon is a café/bar/restaurant in the heart of Raynes Park, which offers a refined high quality menu in a gorgeous, relaxed setting. Babylon only uses high quality British Lion free-range eggs in all of their meals. Their options include classics such as Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale as well as the beloved traditional Babylon Full English – including Portobello mushrooms, Cumberland sausages, streaky bacon, baked beans, vine tomatoes and sourdough. Those who like things a little different and want to try something new and unique can opt for the vegetarian Zucchini-Feta fritters, served with Avocado and yoghurt sauce.

3. Raw Deli – For coffee and juice lovers

Recently opened in June, Raw Deli is a coffee shop with all the charm of an independent local business. They have a fantastic selection of homemade smoothies for those who light a lighter option to start their day with choices such as peanut Butter Blast (PB, rolled oats, honey, banana, oatly), Lean Green (Baby Spinach, Kiwi, apple juice) and Coco Loco (Mango, Pineapple, Coconut milk, Vegan yoghurt). Their counter hosts a wide selection of sweet treats with muffins, tarts and French pastries. Their brunch is great for people who still need to be on the move as their salad boxes are prepared all ready to eat in or takeaway with ease.

4. Light on the Common – For the continental lovers

would like a more intimate setting for your Brunch. Those who are partial to a continental breakfast should try Light on the Common’s exclusive weekend breakfast menu, inclusive of croissants, Greek yoghurt and fresh fruit salad, blueberry pancakes and porridge with various toppings such as toasted pecans and banana. They also offer some delicious options to quench your thirst such as homemade lemonade and freshly squeezed orange juice, and more options for smoothies and other freshly squeezed juices. They offer three fantastic options on their weekday menu including Hash with poached egg, Scrambled eggs and Smoked Salmon or Chorizo or Greek yoghurt with fruit.

5. Lu- Ma – For a morning health kick

Voted the ‘best positive workplace’ in 2019, Lu-Ma is a wonderful independent Café full of soul with brilliant vegan and vegetarian options. They are ideal for those who opt for a healthy choice as their dishes include no refined sugar, no dairy and no meat but still have all the taste! Despite currently having a reduced menu. Lu-Ma has plenty of delicious options for those wanting a healthier option for their morning feed including wraps, classic salads such as ceaser and falafel and oats. Their ‘Golden omelette’ available until 15.30 is made from organic eggs, broccoli, spring onions, spinach, vegan cheese and a pinch of turmeric and nutmeg all served with a slice of gluten free bread.

6. Latitude Wimbledon – For those who like authenticity and weekends

Opened in 2018, Latitude Bar and Restaurant in Wimbledon has amples of charm. They offer a delicious brunch menu on weekends that even includes a sunday roast brunch after 11am. The venue was built from the ground up ‘by friends, for friends…’ – and this authenticity oozes out of even the interior of the restaurant which uses recyclable and sustainable material all sourced in the local area and surrounding construction sites. The menu consists of locally sourced ingredients and modern european style cuisine. They do however host ‘mexican nights’ and this does shine through even on the brunch menu with their ‘Huevos Rancheros’ made up from free range eggs, corn torillas, spicy tomato and onion mexican sauce, feta, coriander, smashed avocado and herbs.
