Vanessa Charest is our first ‘Women Behind The Brand’ for International’s Women’s Month.
Vanessa’s brand ‘Vanessa Charest Aesthetic,’ is based in Wimbledon and focuses on aesthetic procedures, with a goal to ‘help each patient achieve optimal wellness, beauty and self confidence.’ This includes skin treatments, facial harmonisations, brows, lips, lashes & more.
Below is the exclusive interview we had with her.
Who/What inspired you to start your own business?
Myself and my passion about succeeding to help others feel good about themselves. I love what I do and for me I never feel l like I am working. My children and my husband also inspired me. They gave me all their trust and support for me to make the jump!
What is the biggest challenge you have faced?
There are a lot of competition out there when it comes to aesthetics. But the relation I have with my patients is fundamental for a successful business. A lot of clinics especially in London, offer the exact same services which was overwhelming when I started. Being authentic with my patients and really listening to what their concerns are whilst educating them and advising them is what makes them come back to me.
What do you enjoy most about running your own business?
To be able to pursue my passion to help others feel confident about the way they look, also to have an input in EVERYTHING! To own every decision and to manage every aspect of the business.
Which product/service have you enjoyed creating the most?
All services I offer at Vanessa Charest Aesthetic (VCA) but if I would have to choose only one it would be the ‘Profile Harmonization’ treatment. This consists of analysing someone’s face whilst looking at proportions and enhancing someone’s natural features with the help of dermal filler. This treatment can only be performed by experimented partitioners as it involves complex injecting techniques and a strong knowledge of facial anatomy. Each patient has a different story and different needs. I pride myself in tailor made medico-aesthetic regime. For me, it’s not a one fit for all but to adapt to each of my patient’s personal story and needs.
How will you be celebrating International Women’s Day?
I will be grateful for everything I do and owe and will help other women by offering free of charge consultation at VCA to help them feel better about themselves. I will spend quality time with my family.
