Patrick’s recollections on the photograph:

I remember capturing this image in March 2008. And I’m so delighted that I did, as there’s been a vast amount of new growth at one end of the pond and so this shot is no longer repeatable.

The view across the pond to the Village is uninterrupted and the vibrant colour of the rushes against the thundery sky makes this picture one of my favourite landscapes of Rushmere Green.
