The annual Cancer Research UK, South West London Christmas Fair will be held on 9 to 10 November 2016. Find a wealth of festive treats, with more than 70 stalls selling a range of fun toys, handmade jewellery, clothes and unique decorations.
Last year, the fair raised £45,000 to help support the invaluable work of the Clinical Trials Unit. This year, the fair is supporting Dr. Ruth Langley who is leading the Add-Aspirin trial, CRUK’s most ambitious clinical trial to date. With increasing evidence that aspirin may help prevent cancers, including bowel cancer. This research hopes to discover whether adding aspirin daily to standard cancer treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, can stop cancer returning and ultimately save more lives.
