Let nature’s colour palette influence your Christmas decorations this year.

The cold sunny days during the first week of December transformed the Common into a perfect scene for Christmas inspiration – a beautiful combination of warm and golden colours.

I would definitely go for gold, copper reds and earthy colours for my Christmas decorations this year inspired by this amazing flora.

I love this natural colour palette which adds a sophisticated and glamorous ambiance to any space. All golden nuances blend perfectly into this mix, and a hint of cinnamon tones complete the Christmassy touch.

Prepare your table for Christmas drinks with cones, foliage, dried hydrangeas, clementines and lots of greenery.

Hydrangeas are the perfect Christmas decoration. Mine literally dried all by themselves in a vase, and I could use them for my table and for decorating the fireplace. A simple gold gift bag became my vase.

The best part; you can collect it all yourself. Take a break from the busy high street, and have a lovely day out with coffee and pastries.

Holly, foliage and pine cones are just what you need. I gave my cones a touch of gold. Clementines are decorative, inviting and colourful. When it comes to the use of greenery, go wild – even if you are a minimalist at heart. As long as it looks natural you can’t really go too far.

For extra measure, why not throw in some delicious chocolate in golden wrapping!

Enjoy your decorating!
