A meeting of the Darling Magazine clan started the Christmas Season off in fine fashion. The Darling Editor’s party, a gathering of our designers, photographers and copy writers, with a splash of Cover Girls to add even more glamour to a family affair. The Editors were Karine Torr, Darling Wimbledon and UK Publisher of Darling, Philippa Hennessy, Darling North Surrey, Marja-Leena Toseland, Darling Kingston, Teddington, Surbiton and Martine Curzon, editor of Ascot, Sunningdale, Sunninghill and Virginia Waters had partner David Curzon representing her on the night. Lady Wimbledon and her Bombshell PR gang co-hosted at a gorgeous private venue in Wimbledon.
To add the biggest touch of class, celebrity fave, Rock Star Sushi Bar provided an array of delicious, authentic Japanese sushi – the best uramaki sushi I have ever tasted (spicy tuna with cucumber, black tobiko and wasabi tobiko) being one of my favourites. Succulent lobster and avocado (yuzu tobiko), simply irresistible! Chef Igor delivered sheer perfection on the night. He has 15 years of experience and is based in the Merton Abbey Mills complex. Only advanced bookings are accepted as the freshest seasonal fish, vegetables, duck and octopus are specially ordered in for the night.
The wine flowed with Hannibal Brown providing us with a tasting of various unusual, specialist wines and if wines weren’t our thing, Mark Gordon, Founder of Wimbledon Brewery honoured us with his own home-grown beers, as featured in Vogue and Country & Townhouse magazines, Great British Brands of 2016 & 2017.
