Working backstage at London Fashion Week you get to see so many amazing looks for hair, makeup and nails. You get the absolute extreme looks which are purely just for the catwalk, but you also get the shows with trends you can recreate at home.

Hair

‘The look of love’ was the theme for Roland Mouret and the hair was created by Sam McKnight.

Soft, beautiful natural waves were seen at a lot of the shows and are a great trend to recreate yourself at home or to ask for at the salon.

I asked the hairdressers in Gina Conway which products are best to create this look; they recommend using Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam.

It adds body, volume and shine to your hair, whilst activating curl and controls frizz, plus it gives a light to medium hold.

Make Up

There were so many gorgeous makeup trends to be seen this season’s London Fashion Week, but one of my favourites that can easily be recreated at home is the one Lynsey Alexander created for Topshop. It was very natural, with glowing skin, groomed brows and a statement bright red lip.

There are so many great lip colours in the shops at the moment to recreate this look: I love Bobbi Brown’s Nourishing Lip Colour in Coral Pop. If you want to go for something not quite as bright try Sweet Apricot.

Nails

Marianne Newman was the head manicurist at many of the shows. She created beautiful natural nails, using soft pale colours. To create a look like this, the nails have to be perfect, this means giving them a good manicure and using lots of cuticle oil, I love CND Almond Oil. They were then painted in a natural nude colour. Different shows had slightly different nude colours, and I think it is best to find the nude colour perfect to suit your skin colour.

Essie Couture Gel Nail Polish in Ballet Nudes Collection have a lovely selection to recreate this look at home. You can also choose whether you want to finish the look with a matte or a glossy top coat, both looks were seen at the shows.
