CHARLOTTE LOVES · PERSONAL STYLIST & BEAUTY EXPERT
What brought you to Wimbledon?
Before I started my own local business as a qualified Personal Stylist specialising in colour consultations, wardrobe edit and personal shopping, I was busy climbing my way up the corporate career ladder in luxury fashion and beauty. I moved to Wimbledon when I landed a Luxury Marketing role at Coty, a leading beauty company. based on St Georges Road opposite Elys, I lead the UK Marketing strategy for brands such Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Chloe and Vera Wang. I quickly became totally addicted to the ambiance, eclectic mix of country meets town and the heady heights of high end crossing paths with the high street. There’s something for everyone in Wimbledon, either as a singleton or like me with a family of 4. The empowering community spirit and sense of belonging is abundant in Wimbledon, for both work and pleasure.
Where is your favourite place in Merton?
Wimbledon Village; serious shopping nestled against breathtaking Wimbledon Common – a perfect day out for adults or families alike.
What are you looking forward to most this year?
I love working with and supporting local businesses and charities as I grow my personal styling business and social media following. I volunteer for Look Good Feel Better at CCL Parkside, The Good Grief Trust and Cancer Research UK. I’m particularly excited about collaborating with local retailers and venues for customer events, openings and launches at which I can deliver style sessions and colour consultations, as well as working alongside my Wimbledon blogging network. The ‘Eyes of Lady Wimbledon’ team bring the best and latest news to our South West London audience.
Who do you follow most on social media?
Stylists supporting stylists and the fashion blogging community on Instagram is hugely inspiring. I love @chloelovestoshop @belleandbunty. I adore seeing what @donnaida is up to – the brains behind DONNA IDA DENIM and her partner in crime @sulkydollstyling. For a laugh I love @scummymummies – whoever petitions Mothercare for a wine glass holder on a buggy gets my vote!
