When you think about Ibiza, it’s likely that your mind immediately goes to the thought of drunken holidays and wild nights at Space or DC10. So when I was invited to a yoga retreat in north of the island I was intrigued.

I went to an idyllic villa in Foz Finca, Sant Joan. Yes someone had to! The retreat was organised by House of Voga.

House of Voga is a fusion of yoga vogueing fitness and fashion set to cool 80s beats. The day started at 8.15am when the gong went off, and morning meditation started.

We then had a communal vegan organic raw breakfast which always included a tasty turmeric latte – which the chef Ollie was so passionate about. It was a real detox…on days one and two I was really hungry, but by day three I was in full swing of retreat life and was used to the smaller, cleaner portions. We ate three times a day (always vegan) and our bowls were packed full of quinoa and pulses to keep us full.

We did yoga and house of voga sessions twice a day, sometimes at the villa, sometimes on a rock on a beach, or on a boat travelling the islands.

We had a holistic massage and midway through the week we had a healing therapy to reset our shakras to gong music – this was amazing and so powerful.

I came back to Wimbledon half a stone lighter, very relaxed and ready to make some changes in my life.

I was lucky enough to interview the creator Juliette, watch the full video below.
