It’s time to get out of the cold and warm yourself by the oven and bake some delicious goodies!

The festive season for me always means baking. A lot of baking. From butter biscuits to decorate and mince pies all the way to Christmas puddings. Wimbledon is luckily to have many places perfect to pick up all the goodies you’d need for your festive baking.

Entering Centre Court I always end up in Lakeland and my wish list for their store is forever getting longer. For Christmas this year they have a brilliant amount of bakeware from a huge selection of cookies cutters to a microwave cake kit that you can decorate into a robin which includes everything you’d need. I love that Lakeland produce so many kits which are brilliant no matter what baking level you’re at.

There were three top things that caught my eye to use when baking, cooking and celebrating this year. First it was the mulled syrup which would be perfect not just for mulled wine (or add to apple juice for non alcoholic option) but works incredibly well for puddings too. I’d recommend adding a little to an apple crumble to boost the festive feeling and spice up the flavour.

A little bit of sparkle is always what’s needed when I bake and the sparkle gel really stood out. I’m already planning to make robin biscuits with sparkly bellies and Rudolph the reindeer cookies with glittery noses.

My favourite thing which luckily isn’t just for Christmas is the Scrabble piece cookie cutters. Perfect for making personalised presents of biscuits but also great to use on icing and make a Christmas cake.

Moving from Lakeland I went to Debenhams where I discovered a huge amount of food and drink gifts. They had such a great range of bakeware, table decorations and glassware. I felt really inspired by their table layouts to easily achieve what they had created.

In their Christmas foodie section there was a brilliant wall of baking gadgets including crepe makers, candy floss machines, popcorn machines and even chocolate fountains. Safe to say a few of these have ended up on my Christmas list!

My favourite thing I found for baking with and creating a brilliant centre piece for Christmas was the gingerbread house kit. I love a gingerbread house and whether it’s an ornate hand-iced adult house or a children’s lovingly decorated with every type of sprinkle and sweet, they have a special place in my Christmas display.

Centre Court  offers such a fantastic range of stores showing off countless Christmas goodies. Whether you want to bake for your friends and family or find fine foodie gifts ready made, this is the place to shop in Wimbledon.
