Last night, Lady Wimbledon, the Mayor, local bloggers, press and businesses joined the celebrations at CARAT* London to officially welcome the store to the area.
Offering a wide range of beautiful jewellery tailored for today’s women, CARAT* London has stores all over the world, with the most recent opening up in Wimbledon Village.
The brand was launched after CEO Scott Thompson travelled the Far East where rubies and sapphires have been traded for hundreds of years. Here he worked alongside local stonecutters to perfect the craft of jewellery making in the traditional way, and this became the main inspiration behind the creation CARAT* London with partner Heidi Thompson.
To celebrate the latest store’s opening in Wimbledon, CARAT* London held a Christmas shopping event where guests were able to browse and purchase the latest collections.
On offer were several ranges from polished earrings to glistening necklaces, bracelets and statement rings featuring stunning hand-cut gemstones. It’s no wonder that the brand boasts a strong celebrity following including the likes of Pixie Lott, Lady Gaga, Olivia Palermo, Ellie Goulding and Nicole Scherzinger.
Refreshments included a variety of canapés, prosecco and Wimbledon Brewery beer.
In true Christmas spirit, CARAT* London chose to donate 20% of the evening’s sales to local charity, Merton Shelter, who offer warmth, food and a place to sleep for local homeless people over the coldest months. The shopping event managed to raise £500 for this great cause.
A few lucky guests were also gifted with prizes from the the raffle, including a set of Stella Nova Earrings, a Lexi Rose Bracelet and a 12 Days Advent Calendar filled with a selection of CARAT* London pieces. These beautiful 12 door advent calendars are the perfect way to count down to Christmas, and are available to purchase in store now for a limited time only.
It was a beautiful evening to match the glamorous jewellery the brand is known for.
Visit CARAT* London online or in store at 62 High Street, Wimbledon Village, London SW19 5EE.
