Fitness blogger, Gemma visits Wimbledon’s Centre Court shops to see what they’ve got to get fit for summer!
The sun is shining and the birds are tweeting – that can only mean one thing – summer is finally here!
To make sure we are looking and feeling our best in our bright summer wardrobe, it’s important to stay fit and healthy. As you all know the main components of a healthy lifestyle are nutrition and exercise, and both can be enjoyable.
One of my favourite elements of a healthy diet is my morning smoothie, it is so decadent and yet so delicious!
You can see that it almost looks like a dessert, that’s how I like it. I make it extra thick so I can scoop it into a bowl and enjoy it with mixed seeds on top. Some of the core ingredients I put in my smoothie are: vegan protein powder, organic cacao powder, organic green powder (a superfood blend), frozen berries, avocado (for healthy fats), almond milk…you can change it up however you like.
Now let’s get down to the exercise part – I know, I know, I can hear some of you groaning about how much you hate the gym! The good news is there are so many other ways to get fit and get your body moving. As it is very nearly that time of year…how about a spot of tennis? You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy the game, trust me, I am no expert!
I don’t know about you, but when I’m exercising I like to have a fabulous, colour co-ordinated outfit. The little number you can see below is my current favourite from H&M. I love the bright, summery colours and no one is going to miss me on the tennis court!
