With another scorcher of a weekend here are my top 3 places to cool down and enjoy something tasty in the sunshine.
G like Gelato
The recent arrival in Wimbledon fresh from Rome is G like Gelato. Their gelato is made from scratch right in front of you and their ingredients are natural and free from chemicals and nasty things. Their lovely store is filled with ice cream makers all making their own flavours. Their fresh gelato also comes in gluten free cones and vegan and dairy free flavours too. Their great gelato is made fresh and the ingredients list (listed for all to see) is tiny. For example the coffee gelato is made from only coffee, cream, milk and sugar. It’s a great example of how ice cream should be. My recommendations to try are the dark chocolate, hazelnut and all of the fruit sorbets.

Made in Italy
This Sunday (August 5th) Made in Italy on Wimbledon Broadway are hosting an incredible alfresco summer BBQ. Their garden will be open and there will be a big Italian grilling session going on all day. The menu for the day looks incredible with tasty dishes including grilled Provola cheese, veggie skewers and even a Aperol Spritz happy hour. Find out more on their Facebook page and the event Grill like an Italian.

Bayley and Sage
Visit the stunning deli in Wimbledon Village and treat yourself to a beautiful range of food and drink perfect for a sunset picnic on Wimbledon Common this weekend. Their fresh seasonal produce is incredible at this summer high point. From their huge buffalo tomatoes to the summer berries, there is everything you will enjoy for a picnic. Make sure you try their huge range of cheeses, bread and freshly prepared salad. The wild boar charcuterie is also incredible.
