La Casa All Day Project: Brunch by Day, Tapas by Night

Posted by Luke Fisher | 8 April 2025 | Cyprus Lifestyle

Tucked away about halfway up into the charming village of Pegeia, Paphos, La Casa All Day Project is a haven for food lovers. Whether you’re looking to start your day with a hearty brunch, unwind with a Mediterranean-inspired tapas dinner, or simply relax in a cozy and intimate setting with a glass of wine in hand, La Casa delivers an experience worth savouring. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and friendly service, every visit feels like a little win.

Lady W and I went along for brunch, to catch up about our plans for the Cyprus blog. So whether you’re craving a slow morning of clean food and artisan coffee in the sun like we were, or an evening of Mediterranean-inspired tapas and drinks, La Casa is a great choice.

Brunch in Coral Bay: The Perfect Start to Your Day

Brunch culture is thriving in Cyprus, and La Casa stands out as one of the best spots in the Coral Bay area to enjoy breakfast. This stylish eatery offers a well-balanced menu filled with fresh, wholesome ingredients and creative flavour combinations.

Whether you’re a fan of classic brunch staples or on the lookout for something unique, La Casa’s menu is thoughtfully put together, offering everything from the perfectly balanced Avo Bowl—Lady W’s go-to choice—to salads, sandwiches, and poke bowls. Since we were meeting for 12 midday, I had the Teriyaki Chicken Poke and a Cappuccino.

Brunch Highlights:

  • Avo Bowl – A beautifully crafted dish featuring creamy avocado, fresh greens, seeds, and a perfect balance of textures. It’s Lady W’s favourite and a must-try for health-conscious diners.
  • Eggs Benedict – A brunch classic with perfectly poached eggs, silky hollandaise sauce, and your choice of smoked salmon or crispy bacon.
  • Pancakes with Bacon and Chicken – A customer favourite, combining sweet and savoury flavours in a way that’s simply irresistible.
  • Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl – For those who prefer something more substantial, this poke bowl is packed with fresh vegetables, tender chicken, and a delicious teriyaki glaze.

Pair any of these dishes with a specialty coffee or a signature cocktail, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a leisurely brunch that might just extend well into the afternoon (as did ours).

Tapas in Coral Bay, with a Twist

As the evening sets in, La Casa transforms into an intimate space perfect for tapas-style dining, blending Greek influences with modern Mediterranean flavours. Small plates are designed for sharing, making this the perfect spot for a romantic evening, a lively dinner with friends, or even a solo night of indulgence.

Evening Menu Highlights:

  • Halloumi & Pastourma – A fusion of Cyprus’s beloved cheese with spicy, flavourful pastourma sausage.
  • Garlic Prawns – Fresh, succulent prawns sautéed in a garlic and white wine sauce, served with crusty bread for dipping.
  • Grilled Octopus – Perfectly tender and charred to perfection, served with a lemon-herb dressing.
  • Patatas Bravas – A classic Spanish dish with a Cypriot twist, featuring crispy potatoes topped with a smoky tomato sauce and aioli.
  • Stuffed Vine Leaves (Dolmades) – A traditional Greek favourite, served warm and bursting with flavour.

The sharing-style concept encourages guests to try a variety of flavours, making every meal an adventure.

Drinks: A Carefully Curated Selection

No meal at La Casa is complete without the perfect drink pairing. The impressive gin selection is a highlight, featuring local and international options infused with botanicals that complement the tapas menu beautifully.

If you’re more of a wine enthusiast, you’ll love the selection of local Cypriot wines. One standout recommendation is Tsangarides Winery from the nearby village of Lemona, and their wines are always a solid starting point for those looking for an entry- to mid-priced bottle to complement this style of meal.

For those who prefer cocktails, La Casa’s mixologists craft signature drinks that are as refreshing as they are delicious. Whether you’re sipping on a classic Aperol Spritz, a fruity sangria, or a bespoke gin cocktail, you’ll find the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

The Ambience: Small, Cozy, and Inviting

Beyond the food and drinks, what truly sets La Casa apart is its atmosphere.

  • Intimate Dining Space: The restaurant’s small and cozy interior and cute outdoor deck creates a welcoming environment where every guest feels like part of the family.
  • Rustic Charm: With warm lighting and tasteful décor, La Casa strikes the perfect balance between modern chic and traditional comfort.
  • Personalised Service: Kiry and his team take pride in providing attentive and friendly service, making sure every guest has a great experience.

Whether you’re stopping by for brunch, tapas, or a drink, the setting enhances every visit. You can even catch the sunset from the deck!
