Hot Chocolate, at Christmas, at The Ivy Cafe in Wimbledon Village has to be one of the best treats to enjoy with friends, family, loved ones and even a powerhouse team of women.
Lady Wimbledon and the Eyes of Lady Wimbledon blogger tribe met on a chilly Monday morning to enjoy hot chocolate and a little gift sharing before the working week began.
Around the table Lady Wimbledon was joined by Food & Drink Editor Sisley White, fashion blogger Eli Fashion Lover, Deputy Editor Jennifer Freitas De Castro, wellness blogger Feel Good Flora, arts & culture blogger Janie Smith, and lifestyle bloggers’ Milena Lorusso and Alice Bradley.
The Ivy Cafe, Wimbledon offered the ultimate rendezvous for the team as we discussed what an amazing year it has been and what more there is on offer on the horizon whilst sipping on the restaurant’s signature Mint and Dark Hot Chocolate.
It wouldn’t be a bloggers meet without admiring what the other was wearing including a talk on the latest fashion, matching Christmas jumpers, and Lady Wimbledon’s fantastic Zara hat topped with festive jolly clips handmade by Bee Smith Millinery.
As the morning went on the ladies spoke about everything from life to fashion, community to travel, the festive period to our family, all the while enjoying the best cappuccino’s.
And what a special treat it was to be able to enjoy a quiet morning tucked away in The Ivy Cafe, Wimbledon’s terrace sipping on herbal teas, hot chocolate, cappuccino’s and exchanging gifts, away from the holiday rush taking place around us.
The restaurant currently serves three traditional hot chocolates including, Mint, Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate. All perfect for the winter season.
If you’re feeling inspired to try making some hot chocolate at home take some inspiration from the restaurant’s traditional recipe;
50g milk chocolate flakes
20g dark chocolate flakes
250ml whole milk
40ml double cream
Melt the chocolate flakes and add the whole milk topping it up with double cream. To recreate The Ivy Cafe’s three other recipes just add a touch of dark chocolate, white chocolate or mint.
Even the littlest person to join the team that day enjoyed a taste of chocolatey goodness whilst the team chatted.
Whether you’re looking for brunch, afternoon tea or want to take your pick from the A La Carte Menu The Ivy Cafe, Wimbledon have something to suit your every need.
