Rugby returns to Coombe Lane this weekend! Head down to the Old Wimbledonians Rugby Football Club in Raynes Park this Saturday, as the First XV play their long-awaited first home game of the 2019/20 season. Kick-off is at 3pm and it promises to be a thrilling game…
As a warm-up for that First XV game, the big screens in the OW’s clubhouse will be showing all the best action from the Rugby World Cup from 10am onwards, so don’t miss out. The bar is sure to be rocking all afternoon as well, with a full house sitting down to enjoy the autumn instalment of the annual Vice Presidents’ Lunch, which should mean a lively crowd will be sticking around to cheer on the team from the touch line afterwards.
Come down to watch all the action and support the team – everyone’s welcome – as they aim to build on the hard-fought 13-10 victory they earned in their season-opening away fixture. They’ll be looking to put in an improved performance for what should be a big and enthusiastic home crowd.
Hopefully there will be plenty to celebrate, and the whole club will be in great spirits, so if you can’t make it along for the First XV game then why not head down for a couple of pints in the evening any way?
With a packed day of great rugby and a fantastic atmosphere for all the family in store, there’s no better time to come and get involved: bring your friends, spread the word, and support the club. It should be another fantastic day down at the Old Boys. See you Saturday!
