The Wimbledon International Music Festival – now in its 11th year – is on from 9th to 24th November. The 2019 edition offers a glittering array of unmissable performances, from rousing classical concerts and intimate recitals to jazz nights and masterclasses – all featuring standout musicians from around the world.

Hot on the heels of the Wimbledon BookFest, Wimbledon looks forward to welcoming a host of exciting established and emerging musicians from all over the globe for the 11th year of the Wimbledon International Music Festival. Every year the festival grows in musical magnificence and continues to attract only the very best performing artists. This year’s festival begins on the 9th November.

With an exciting breadth of style and sound you can expect to be treated to over 20 concerts over 15 days in various locations in the town.

This year’s theme is “Music, Maths and Architecture” which is reflected in the programme with music from myriad composers including Puccini, Debussy, Mozart, Bach and Mussorgsky plus Lindy Hop Dancers and an evening of poetry by Edith Sitwell set to the music of Walton, played and narrated by Richard Stilgoe and Patricia Hodge. The festival is truly a feast for all tastes and not to be missed.

Excitingly, the Wimbledon International Music Festival also works with local schools to promote music and musical awareness which makes it perfectly accessible to all ages. To discover more, including what’s on, venues and ticket availability click here >.
