MOVE2STRENGTH

Move2Strength is a Fitness Pilates programme for ladies only. All classes are suitable for mixed abilities and ages. Different exercise options are given to ensure a challenging workout that suits the individual. Fitness Pilates classes work to develop your core, regain your strength and flexibility, improve your posture and tone up.

They also offer a Pilates class for mothers with their babies or toddlers. This is a relaxed class where you can bring your child and benefit from a core workout where you don’t have the stress of finding a babysitter! For those wanting an at-home workout, they offer live virtual Pilates classes. There’s no need to travel or to find parking, all you need to start is an exercise mat and bottle of water.

THE PILATES CLINIC

The Pilates Clinic, in Wimbledon, was founded by Lisa Lamberti in 2012. Lisa and her highly qualified team of BASI trained Pilates instructors welcome all types of clients and offer classes/sessions to suit all levels of rehabilitation or body conditioning. The state of the art Pilates studio offers group Reformer Pilates Classes aimed at those who already have a base level understanding of Pilates and who are looking for something a little more challenging, with a cardio-vascular element to the sessions. The Pilates Clinic also offers Semi-Private Pilates Sessions which mirror the structure of a private session but you share the instructor with one other person; Private One-On-One Pilates Sessions which address your personal needs; and Mat Classes which are multilevel and challenging. PILATES WITH ANITA

Ladies, would you like to take time out each week to improve your posture, strength, flexibility and over-all feeling of wellbeing? If so, Anita’s Pilates classes may help. They work on strengthening and stretching the body evenly, with focus throughout on engaging and strengthening the deep core muscles. Not only will you feel stronger, you will become more body aware helping you move and feel better inside and outside the class. Each session finishes with relaxation where the class use their breath to focus and relax their busy minds.

Classes are for ladies of mixed abilities paid for in half termly blocks (£8.50 per class equivalent) and the timetable is as follows:

ELE DANCE & FITNESS

ELE Dance & Fitness was founded by Emma Louise Egerton, a local Pilates and dance fitness instructor. As a former professional dancer, Emma always used Pilates to accompany her dance training and performing as it helped to keep her body flexible, strong, toned, maintained joint mobility and also the focus on breath helped to destress and decrease any feelings of anxiety. It also supported her through injury, helping to strengthen the weaker areas of the body. After some time away from dance, Emma trained as a Level 2 Exercise to Music instructor and in 2019 qualified as a Level 3 Pilates (Matwork) instructor. In 2020, she is bringing two new classes to the area. These will be held at Merton Park Baptist Church – Mondays and Fridays – 9:15am-10:15am starting on the 13th January 2020. The first two classes are free taster sessions, open to all, and will be an introduction to Pilates – beginner/improver level. From the 20th January, fees for classes will be as follows:- £10 – Pay As You Go or book a 6/12 week term in advance for £51/102 the equivalent of £8.50 a class.
