With the exciting announcement that garden centres can reopen, we have had the weekend to prepare our borders and raised beds for planting. It’s now time for the fun part of being Wimbledon’s answer to Kim Wilde, with a super sensory retail experience in a socially distanced visit to our local nurseries.

1. Garsons, Esher

3. The Garden Centre at Morden Hall Park
Morden Hall Park Garden Centre sits between Morden, Mitcham and Wimbledon. It is the National Trust’s Garden Centre. Their friendly and expert team can help you with your gardening questions, and advise on the right product for your needs. The Garden Centre stands on the site of the historic estate’s kitchen garden, and surrounded by acres of parkland, miles of walks, and a variety of wildlife. All profits go back into looking after this special park for locals and visitors to enjoy.

4. Lower Morden Garden Centre
Lower Morden Garden Centre was previously a council-run nursery, but the agricultural history of the site can be traced back to medieval times. Today, they’ve got a gift shop and restaurant and, of course, a fantastic range of top-quality plants – with an expert team on hand to offer handy tips and advice.
