Prudential RideLondon is going virtual this year. Content Editor, Hannah Ablett shares all the information you need to take part…
Prudential RideLondon kicks off its 7th year with the first ever virtual edition of the event, encouraging all to get on their bikes on Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th August 2020. The ‘virtual’ ride will consist of four simple steps: choose your favourite charity, register to complete one of the four challenges, start fundraising, and get up and on your bikes!
What a weekend!😍London you have been amazing yet again. 🙌We hope everyone who played a part enjoyed Prudential RideLondon as much as we did. #RideLondon

Wimbledon will miss cheering from street party picnics as the bikes whiz through the town, but look forward to virtually cheering for participants through photos and videos – you can upload your RideLondon challenge using #MyPRL. The new My Prudential RideLondon app will also be available to download in the event week.
The Four Challenges To Choose From
- My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100: 100-mile ride
- My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46: 46-mile ride
- My Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 19: 19-mile ride
- My Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle: an event that allows you to set your own challenge (minimum distance 1km) on the wheels of your choice: bikes, scooters, skateboards, trikes, balance bikes, roller skates, wheelchairs or anything that is self-propelled (e-bikes are fine too)
Organised by London & Surrey Cycling Partnership, RideLondon is known for being the world’s greatest festival of cycling, created to encourage people of all ages and abilities to engage in healthier and more environmentally friendly travel. The free event has raised over £77 million for thousands of charities, inspiring hundreds of thousands of people to cycle together.
Choose Your Own Date To Ride
Don’t worry, the challenge can be completed anywhere at any time. Professionals, families and friends are all invited to join, and participants can register in advance at www.myridelondon.co.uk.
Keep safe, and remember to follow government guidance of exercising and social distancing. But most of all, enjoy!
