Make a commitment to our planet this year with Wimbledon produced sustainable fashion from Gunda Hafner. Crafted entirely from natural fibres and made plastic free….
We had a conversation with Gunda to tell us a bit more about some of her favourite pieces from the current collection:  IN TRANSITION.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

The IN TRANSITION collection is full of  timeless pieces, incorporating classic aesthetics with modern comfort. The collection is fashioned with bold pleats and checked detailing, perfect to see you through a multitude of occasions.

Their Autumn/Winter collection is currently on sale!

If you are familiar with Gunda Hafner’s previous collections, you’ll know that their founder, Gunda Hafner, is passionate about working only with sustainable materials and labour. Here’s why…

Gunda has experienced severe intolerances. The lack of flexibility around food translated into seeking freedom in fashion.
Therefore, Gunda started to create her own clothing. With an awareness of the side effects allergies can have, she wanted to use materials that were friendly to the entire supply chain – from the labourer sourcing, to the manufacturer in our small studio, to the consumer then wearing the garment. As a company, we are constantly striving for material alternatives that are kind to both others and the environment.

Whether you’re transitioning into new responsibilities in the workplace, moving from work to vacation, or just entering a new phase of life, each chapter in our look book generates a sense of adventure and exploration. Accessible pieces will last you for seasons and years to come. Each garment’s versatility means that it can be worn across a whole range of settings, to suit the transitions we go through in life.

Here are Gunda’s top picks from this collection:

Hammered silk shirt – an elegantly easy item to transition from the office to a glam evening. From a Statement piece to a wardrobe staple.  £265  Now £185

Grey A-line Coat. Nothing says luxury better than a silk wool mix coat. The A-line gives you a natural hourglass waist!  £440 Now £308

Floral Silk Skirt. The flowers in hues of brown on cream is the subtle temptation to mix and match pattern. £295 Now £206

They are also very proud to announce that their Spring/Summer 2021 collection will contain an array of dresses, shorts and skirts made of recycled and repurposed materials.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Gunda Hafner ltd is a high quality, sustainable and ethical womenswear brand. The company was founded in 2016 when Gunda started working from home. Now it is based in a studio in St Philips Road near Surbiton station. It’s focus is on using natural fibres in order to minimise the consequences of synthetics and eliminate the use of plastic.

“‘We strive to produce garments with big impact but minimal environmental consequences, our pieces are designed and ethically produced in Wimbledon, so all local”
In the past, Gunda Hafner have been working on projects with Samanta Bullock, a wheelchair model and instagrammer, by creating a wheelchair user friendly collection. They have also had a small project with the Vineyard Community Centre in Richmond where Gunda taught some ladies to embroider. They created some awareness T-Shirts for the ocean, the bees and national parks to voice our concern about the environment. Leftover materials are donated to students and pupils in order to foster their creativity.
