Lady Wimbledon’s Golden Autumn

Lady Wimbledon’s Golden Autumn

Posted by Eyes of Lady Wimbledon | 6 September 2021 | What's On
Ready for Autumn? Layers, blankets, home cooked bakes & supper clubs.

With leaves turning golden, nights drawing in and candles being lit, autumn is the perfect time to turn our homes to havens.

John Keats called the ‘season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’.

This misty season of crisp mornings and cosy evenings, Lady Wimbledon will be sharing the cosiest places to brunch, dine, and the most glamorous places to dress up & mingle.

With sustainable fashion so hot on our lips right now, we will continue to bring you the most seductive autumn/winter trends.

Feel inspired by our snuggly interiors, or chose from our favourite romantic weekend getaways in quaint cottages with wood burning stoves. Recipes galore, using the abundance of apples, plums and fresh harvest veg.
We are dedicating September to Englands most beautiful time of the year.

To Autumn
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For summer has o’er-brimm’d their clammy cells.
– John Keats
