Behind the Brand
Abby and Claud met at boarding school in 2001, they soon bonded over their ‘West Londonness’ and love of Britney and JLo.
“We want WAMC to feel exactly like mine and Claud’s friendship; fun and welcoming, a place to celebrate achievements or to forget the stresses of a difficult day!” says Abby.
Abby Balan has hospitality in her DNA, daughter of the late Prady Balan of Balan’s of London, she has grown up in the restaurant industry and is passionate about quality service.
Claud is a Marketing Executive and feels strongly about the importance of being a fully female owned business. “Being a female owned business means that we are in the minority of UK restaurants, therefore inclusion and true female solidarity are essential for us.”
