When was the last time you had a catch up with friends? In our often busy (and stressful) schedules, it’s easy to forget your social lives. Wimbledon has lots to offer to satisfy your needs and we’ve rounded up some of our favourite places for you and your mates to try…
Merton Abbey Mills
Priding itself as London’s only riverside heritage village, Merton Abbey Mills offers a variety of experiences for when you and your friends feel more indecisive. Formerly a textile factory and watermill, this historic location embodies an art scene dating from William Morris to the present day, offering a selection of arts & craft shops, cafes and restaurants.
Situated within the market, Blushing Cook specialises in floral-themed baked goods – a delightful addition to anyone’s day.

Gravity
Based in Wandsworth, Gravity hosts immersive experiences including E-Karting, Bowling, E-sports Gaming Arena, Funbox Arcade, Digital Darts and an Electric Game box. We tried the bowling and was blown away at the fun high tech experience. Gravity modernises bowling through fun photos, projections and individual adaptations so you are covered whether you’re pro or beginner! Once you have finished playing games you can enjoy cocktails at the bar . This is the perfect experience for those friends who love something more active and competitive.

The Crooked Billet
Looking for more of a cosy chat by a fireplace while waiting out the winter months? Situated at the edge of Wimbledon Common, The Crooked Billet does not disappoint. The menu offers hearty home-cooked seasonal dishes such as pies, stone-baked pizzas and burgers. They serve a wide range of award-winning cask ales and craft beers alongside a very fine collection of wines and spirits.

Pub in the Park Tickets
What better way to give a gift to your friend than an experience! Pub in the Park is coming back to Wimbledon Park from 12 – 14 May 2023 with a festival weekend full of feasting & dancing! As May approaches, the warmer weather is a good enough reason to get us excited. Hosted by Ainsley Harriott, Anna Haugh and Simon Rimmer, Pub in the Park offers the opportunity to tuck into dishes from award-winning restaurants!

601 Queens Road
Situated at the top of Centre court, 601 Queens road is a beautiful circular restaurant which boasts a spectacular balcony view. 601 Queens Road offers delicious home-made food with sustainable and high quality ingredients. A particular favorite of mine is the Eggs Royale from the brunch menu! With a calming atmosphere, beautiful balcony and stunning views of Wimbledon, this venue can be enjoyed day and night.

Megan’s
Transport yourself to another world with Megan’s, with a loose Mediterranean theme, florals and wicker décor, its easy to feel like you’re on holiday somewhere sunny! Megan’s is a stand out location on Wimbledon Village for us as the interior is as decadent as the brunch (which is all day!). The menu offers Mediterranean inspired dishes such as Shakshouka eggs, “Posh Kebabs” and nourish bowls. Take your bestie for brunch and be spoiled for choice!
