Spring is the perfect time to experiment with different blushers, and there are so many great options out there. Blusher should be a staple product in your kit .
Here are some of my favourite products and why I think they transport you to different versions of yourself.
Brands are currently being adventurous with the humble blusher.
Daniel Sandler Liquid Blusher in “Hot Totty”
This subtle warm matte bronze shade is perfect for adding a touch of sun-kissed sophistication to your look. I love how easily it blends into my skin, and it always leaves me feeling like a Goddess.
Apply 1 dot of this on a blusher brush and sweep where required . Use extra if desired , this liquid formulation is lovely and buildable .
Charlotte Tilbury Matt Blushers
Charlotte Tilbury is a force of a name in the beauty industry, and her matt blushers are no exception. They are easy to apply and only require a touch to achieve the desired effect.
The colour range is stunning .
Charlotte Tilbury Liquid Shimmery Blushers ‘ Beauty Light Wands
For a touch of shimmer and shine, Charlotte Tilbury’s liquid shimmery blushers are a must-try. They’re perfect for achieving a dreamy, ethereal look, and I love how they reflect the light.
Nars Orgasm Blush
This iconic blush has been a favourite for years, and it’s easy to see why. The golden-pink shade is universally flattering, and the subtle shimmer adds a touch of radiance to any complexion.
Rare Beauty blusher
Rare Beauty’s blushers are simply amazing! I love the consistency and all the shades they offer. Whenever I wear this gem of a product, it makes me feel pretty, happy, and dreamy all in one. The formula is easy to blend and build, allowing for a natural-looking finish or a bolder statement. Highly recommend adding Rare Beauty’s blushers to your makeup collection!
Makeup Forever Blush Palettes
If you’re looking to experiment with different shades and finishes, Makeup Forever’s blush palettes are perfect. They offer a wide range of colours and textures, and the formula is easy to blend for a flawless finish.
For Warmer tones I recommend Golden toned Pinks (try Nars Orgasm) Peaches or head towards Bronzes
When your complexion is fairer or cooler feel free to reach for cool pinks , silvery tones , a touch of plum or again a subtle soft bronzer .
Remember that as the seasons change, so does your skin tone and texture. It’s important to adjust your blush accordingly and experiment with different shades and finishes to find the perfect look for you.
-
Blusher placement is key and can completely change your look.
-
If you want your face to look lifted and defined, place the blush above your contour, above the hollows of your cheeks, and swept up above your ears.
-
For a cute, cheeky, happy look, smile and place the blush on the apples of your cheeks.
-
You can also place some on your nose to give a revitalised appearance, and the leftover blush from your brush can be swept over your forehead to finish off a blended look.
It’s safe to say, there are so many great blushers to choose from this spring, and it’s the perfect time to experiment with different shades and finishes. These are just a few of my favourite products, but there are plenty more out there to discover.
So go ahead and get cheeky!
