During the two weeks of The Championships, the All England Lawn Tennis Club go through a staggering amount of food and drink for the huge crowds who visit.
Here are just a few of the mind blowing food and drink statistics of what was consumed last year:
- 330,000 cups of tea and coffee
- 230,000 bottles of water
- 234,000 meals served
- 110,000 sandwiches and baguettes
- 25,000 scones
- 110,000 pints of draught beer and lager
- 16,000 portions of fish and chips
- 44,000 litres of milk
- 140,000 portions of English strawberries
- 10,000 litres of dairy cream
- 10,000 portions of frozen yoghurt
- 29,000 bottles of champagne
- 5,000 kilos of bananas (for players)
- 86,000 ice cream portions
- 30,000 stone baked pizzas
PLUS a staggering 320,000 glasses of Pimm’s were served during the fortnight in 2015.

Hemingways Lounge Bar
As a special way to celebrate The Championships, Hemingways in Wimbledon Village have a created a skinny Pimm’s made with grapefruit juice which they have lovingly named after Lady Wimbledon herself.

All Bar One
For a sparkly take on the classic Pimm’s, All Bar One on Wimbledon Hill are offering a super Pimm’s Bellini. What could be better than Pimm’s and Prosecco. Definitely one to try after the walk back town from The Championships after a wonderful day.

Suburban Bar & Lounge
The Pimm’s Punch is a take on the seasonal classic by Suburban Bar in Wimbledon. Pimm’s with coconut rum, melon liqueur and apple juice mixed together to make a refreshing drink perfect for long hot afternoons watching the tennis.
