It’s THE colour of the season; all shades of red will be winging their way into your wardrobe one way or another. How to style this adrenalin boosting, smile stimulating, energetic, colour of attraction is key. If you purchase with passion, shopping will not be boring this autumn. For your chance to win a styling session with me, along with £250 to spend at Centre Court Shopping Centre Wimbledon during their 25th Birthday year, enter your details here. T&C’s apply.

Move over the little black dress; the little red dress is a no-brainer this season and is an easy way to wear red. The harder part is discovering your most flattering hue. The catwalks were awash with enthusiastic scarlet, cherry, berry and wine shades. But be careful, they won’t all suit – opt for warm reds if you have yellowy skin and burgundy if you have a cooler skin tone. This super-comfort Oasis lace skater dress is perfect for warm skin tones, £48.

For the brave, try all over ‘tonal’.  Vary your shades as well as textures and patterns; faux fur, embroidery, lace and velvet can be mixed up. And if that doesn’t pop your cherry, then aim to pulse in statement pieces like epic earrings or break it up with brocade paired with a Victoriana blouse. This Monsoon Thalia embroidered jacket, £59, and Victorian lace blouse, £59, make for a stylish outfit.

Oversized granny faux furs add the all important drama and dare yourself to pair with a strong humbug stripe. Cool autumn blazers worn over a slogan t-shirt is a fun way to wear red and River Island have some great basics like their red tie cuff blazer, £60… and to feel totally on trend a bright lip tops off the outfit. My latest star picks are from the Bourjois Rouge Velvet and Clarins Rouge Eclat ranges.

Celebrate Centre Court’s 25th Birthday in style with a full line up of events on 16th September, with performances from local acts and New Wimbledon Theatre, drinks at The Wimbledon Brewery pop up bar, competitions and goody bags.
